As of 12 am, March 28th, a total of 5962 people have tested positive for the Covid-19 disease in Portugal, meaning there was an increase of 792 new cases since yesterday. Currently, 286 people are being treated at the hospital, and of those 138 are in the ICU (intensive care unit).

Since the 1st of January, a total of 38042 have been tested, of which 26572 have tested negative and 5508 are still awaiting test results. There are still 17785 people who are being monitored by the authorities, on suspicion of being infected.

Until now, we register 119 deaths and 43 patients have recovered from the infection. Of these, we have 61  deaths and 16 recovered cases in the North region, 28 deaths and 10 recovered cases in the Center region, 28 deaths and 17 recovered cases in the Lisbon and Tejo Valley region and 2  deaths in the Algarve region.
