As of 12 am, 29th of March, a total of 6408 people have tested positive for the Covid-19 disease in Portugal, meaning there was an increase of 446 new cases since yesterday. Currently, 571 people are being treated at the hospital, and of those 164 are in the ICU (intensive care unit).

Since the 1st of January, a total of 44206 have been tested, of which 32953 have tested negative and 4845 are still awaiting test results. There are still 11482 people who are being monitored by the authorities, on suspicion of being infected.

Until now, we register 140 deaths and 43 patients have recovered from the infection. Of these, we have 74 deaths and 16 recovered cases in the North region, 34 deaths and 10 recovered cases in the Center region, 30 deaths and 17 recovered cases in the Lisbon and Tejo Valley region and 2 deaths in the Algarve region.
